Whether you are new to Index or a returning student, we want to welcome you and celebrate the start of a new year together as the student and young adults community at Carrubbers. This year we’ve dedicated a special weekend for this: Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th September.
Let me tell you some of the exciting and fun activities we have organised that we would love you to participate in:
Saturday afternoon:
- In good weather: Meeting at the Royal Commonwealth Pool (by Pollock Halls) and going for a picnic, games and catch-up at the lakes behind Arthurs Seat in Holyrood Park.
- In bad weather: Meeting at Carrubbers for an indoor version of the above. Giant Jenga, Sardines, and many other games will happen!
Saturday evening:
- Ceilidh: the annual Carrubbers student ceilidh is open to all and is held down in the Lower Hall. Come at 7.30pm for an 8pm kick-off to dancing the night away!
Sunday:
- Second Service at 11.30am: Special student welcome and focus service
- Free Student Lunch at 1pm: after the service please join us up in the Oak Hall for an incredible feed and fellowship
- Index at 8.15pm: after the evening service join us up in the Oak Hall for the beginning of our new programme “Knowing Jesus”. We have food, fellowship, worship and then interactive Bible studies and learning together at our tables.
